Spanish Cello (1694)

The back of this instrument is in two pieces of broad and regular curly maple. The scroll and the ribs are made from the same wood. The belly is made with a very high quality resonant red spruce from the Dolomiti Mountains. Oil-rosin varnish gold-orange color on a brown-orange ground. The instrument and the oil painting decorations are freely inspired from the Antonio Stradivari violoncello "The Spanish Cello". The decorations of the body are made of fossil Mammoth ivory.
